Our story
James Goldring has spent 20 years in tree work and started Tree-Volution in 2015. The idea was simple: good-quality tree surgery at a reasonable cost, from a friendly team that turns up when it says it will and leaves the garden tidier than it found it.
We help homeowners, landlords and businesses across Colchester and up to 20 miles around it, all along the A12. Sometimes we go further for larger jobs. That includes Ipswich, Clacton-on-Sea, Witham, Halstead, Tiptree, Wivenhoe, Coggeshall and West Mersea.
Our work covers tree felling and removal of any size, tree surgery (crowning, pollarding, pruning, reduction and shaping), stump grinding, hedge trimming, vegetation clearance, emergency storm damage callouts, TPO and conservation area work, and soft and hard landscaping, including patios, fencing and turfing. One crew handles the job from the first cut to the final turf.

A proper crew on site
Jobs are generally carried out by 2–3 person teams, a climbing team plus ground crew, so work runs safely and gets finished in good time.

Site visits and quotes are free. You get the price before anything starts, and waste removal, wood and chippings disposal are included. No hidden extras.
